Backing the BanFox

The overwhelming majority of people in Gloucester don't want to see the return of fox hunting.  Parmjit explained, "I voted to ban hunting with hounds, not out a narrow prejudice against the countryside, and not with a desire to carry out class war either.  Before I made my decision to vote for a ban on fox-hunting I spent a whole day with the Cotswold Hunt.  I listened carefully to what Gloucester people said."  Parmjit heard from farmers who told him that the hunts can cause damage to their land when horses and hounds stampede across it.  Others told him there are far more effective ways of controlling the fox population than hunting with hounds.

Petition against a return to fox hunting

The 2004 Hunting Act made it a crime to set dogs onto wild animals for sport and 75% of the voting public support this Act, and are against its repeal.  Douglas Batchelor, the Chief Executive of the League Against Cruel Sports has said, "That there should be no freedom, under the law to be cruel to animals for sport."  Unlike some of his political opponents, Parmjit will support the Act and its enforcement.  He will vote against any bill that seeks to turn the clock back to cruelty.  Hunting belongs in the dustbin of history, where it should remain.

Do you agree?
If so please add your name to Parmjit's petition

I, the undersigned oppose fox hunting and call on all politicians that hope to represent Gloucester to oppose any attempt to lift the 2004 Hunting Act.
