The 2004 Hunting Act made it a crime to set dogs onto wild animals for sport and 75% of the voting public support this Act, and are against its repeal. Douglas Batchelor, the Chief Executive of the League Against Cruel Sports has said, "That there should be no freedom, under the law to be cruel to animals for sport." Unlike some of his political opponents, Parmjit will support the Act and its enforcement. He will vote against any bill that seeks to turn the clock back to cruelty. Hunting belongs in the dustbin of history, where it should remain.

I, the undersigned oppose fox hunting and call on all politicians that hope to represent Gloucester to oppose any attempt to lift the 2004 Hunting Act. |
