Should we build a new station at the Railway Triangle?

TriangleParmjit was working with the council to build a new railway station at Elmbridge Court. However, the project failed and didn’t receive much public support. But now, due to recent changes brought about by the Government’s new planning bill, our MP has put forward a proposal for a new station at the Railway Triangle site.

The national changes include a new “Community Infrastructure Levy”,Supplementary Business Rates” andBusiness mprovement Districts” which could make a scheme at the Triangle viable, through more private sector and developer contributions.

Gloucester Heritage Urban Regeneration Company has decided to look again at the idea of making the Railway Triangle the new home for the City's railway station.

Do you think Gloucester needs a new railway station back on the mainline? What are your views of the Elmbridge Court and Railway Triangle proposals — even if it would mean the loss of our current station?
