I am concerned about the level of funding our County Council is providing for each child per head at schools in Gloucester, when compared to funding per child in other parts of the county like the Cotswolds. An average school in Gloucester receives £3,000 per pupil whilst a Cotswold school I have been made aware of receives £8,701 per pupil.
I believe that this is a fundamental question of fairness.
I therefore call on the County Council to launch a review looking into the way that money is split between schools in Gloucestershire.
